The ngakpa chöpa Namkha Gyalpo explains that the pilgrimage has been organized in order to benefit the officiants along with all living beings. Just as the book we intend to write, he says, should benefit ourselves but also all other sentient beings.

During the journey the chöpa must challenge the local beings and put their own powers to the test. Today the chöpa provoked the local invisible beings in many ways. Now, on the contrary, they must subdue them. And that is why the chöpa cannot rest during the night but must keep watch, reciting mantra of protection.
